This project began as an extension of Tarocchi Gialli, my most recent tarot deck. That tarot deck was an homage to the art style found in the advertising of vintage Italian Horror films, and during its production, I fell in love with my art.
I've wanted to make a set of traditional playing cards for a long time, and this was a perfect opportunity. I reconstituted the art from the suits and used the Pages, Queens, and Kings from that deck to create the cards in this set.
The deck includes 54 cards (two Jokers) split over 4 suits.
