The environments that the Disney parks create envelop and transport you. They are a collection of subtle details that work in tandem to bring you into a new world. And there’s a joy in finding the beauty that isn’t trying to be noticed. That joy is what keeps me coming back with a camera. I look for things like the patina of a railing, the way sunlight hits a painted wall, or a piece of furniture that probably should be replaced. These small and quiet areas feel like a secret that only a handful of Disney Adults recognize and appreciate. It’s not the characters or castles, but the little touches that can only be appreciated by adults.

This series is a quiet love letter to the background noise of the Disney experience. I’ve spent the past three years using my exploration of these parks as a photography exercise - each visit a chance to learn a new lens or test out a new technique. My goal with these images isn’t to celebrate the IP of the parks but to nod knowingly to those who already carry its map in their memory.

Each photograph is selected to live beyond the context of Disney. They’re meant to be beautiful, thoughtful images that function as a wink to those who know. If someone hangs one of these in their home, I want it to be both visually compelling to a stranger and deeply nostalgic to a fellow park veteran.

The term “Disney adult” gets thrown around like an insult—but in this show, it’s a badge of pride.
